Handmade ashtray ceramic artifact. Decorated with angiographs of gods & heroes,of the ancient greek mythology. The technique
They are made with the same pottery techniques, that used in ancient Greece. But through ancient greek ceramic art, we will go through the stage of the simple daily vessels, to some vessels which had special purpose. These were manufactured elaborately with great angiographies, making them so important pieces of worlds history. A trip that will start from 1100bc, the Progeometrical period, and reach to the prevalence of black-figured and reddish rate, up to 330 bc. And will grant us unique masterpieces,such as amphoras, lykithoi, ydreies, jugs , prochoys, cylics, beetle, wine amphoras, craters. This handmade ashtray artifact is the perfect gift for every house. The matterials
The clay (keramos) to produce ceramic pot (kerameikos) was readily available throughout Greece. Although the finest was Attic clay, with its high iron content giving an orange-red colour with a slight sheen when fired and the pale buff of Corinth. Clay was generally prepared and refined in settling tanks. So that different consistencies of material could be achieved depending on the vessel types to be made with it.
