The horse in ANCIENT GREECE ,WAS CONSIDERED TO BE IMMORTAL.It is no coincidence that BOUKEFALAS was buried with ALEXANDER THE GREAT. In the Iliad, HOMER has given IT metaphysical qualities (see Achilles’ horses). Therefore in GREECE the consumption of horsemeat is not very widespread, since ancient times. The horse for the Greeks was a symbol of strength, beauty and pride.
